Job summary

Mass General Brigham is seeking a Manager, Research Management in the Orthopedics Department to drive financial oversight for sponsored programs. You will manage pre- and post-award activities, monitor cost allowability, and prepare forecast reports for PIs and senior leaders.

You will lead a finance team, coordinate contracts and payments, and ensure compliance with sponsor terms. This role combines research administration with strategic budgeting in a hybrid work setting.

Qualifications

• Grant management or finance experience required (2–3 years).
• Grant administration or finance experience (3–5 years) required.
• Strong working knowledge of Excel, Teams and Word.

Responsibilities

• Provide high-level support to Research Finance leadership, Pre and Post-Award Teams, faculty and staff.
• Manage post-award and pre-award activities, ensure compliance and budgeting.
• Collaborate on contracts, orders and payments with the Research Finance Coordinator.
• Mentor and supervise the finance team, including training and performance assessment.
• Assist PI budgets and uploading records to Insight; create billing and records.
