Job summary

Advocate Health's WF Institute for Regenerative Medicine (WFIRM) in Winston-Salem is seeking a Ph.D.-level researcher to advance a novel vaccine-testing platform. Qualifications

• Ph.D. with a focus in biological, immunological, engineering, or biomedical engineering.
• Experience in cell culture and immunology techniques.
• Experience in antigen presentation, T cell and B cell activation, and differentiation.
• Experience with development and testing of tissue engineering constructs.

Responsibilities

• Participate in a research project focused on developing a new platform to enable vaccine testing.
• Perform complex tasks including antigen uptake and presentation, immune cell activation and differentiation, and in vitro tests for tissue construct viability.
• Conduct immunological protocols including antigen presentation, T and B cell activation, cell culture and expansion.
• Assemble 3D constructs using biofabrication techniques.
• Collect, organize, and analyze research data.
• Prepare reports, scientific manuscripts, and related documentation.
• Collaborate within a team using established protocols for production of tissue engineered constructs.
