Job summary

Atrium Health Wake Forest Baptist seeks a Research Fellow for the WF Institute for Regenerative Medicine to contribute to groundbreaking vaccine testing platforms. You will work in a collaborative, interdisciplinary setting to advance immunology, bioengineering, and tissue engineering technologies.

The role involves developing immunology protocols, assembling 3D tissue constructs, and generating data for reports and manuscripts.

Qualifications

PhD with focus in biological, immunological, engineering, or biomedical engineering.
Experience in cell culture and immunology techniques.
Experience in antigen presentation, T and B cell activation, and differentiation.
Experience with development and testing of tissue engineering constructs.
General computer skills, including Excel.
Attention to detail.
Excellent organizational skills.
Time management skills.
Excellent recordkeeping and documentation skills.

Responsibilities

Develop a platform to enable vaccine testing.
Perform complex tasks including antigen uptake/presentation and immune cell activation.
Conduct immunology protocols including T and B cell activation and culture.
Assemble 3D constructs using biofabrication techniques.
Collect, organize, and analyze research data.
Prepare reports and scientific manuscripts.
Collaborate within a team using established protocols.
