Job summary

The Simons Foundation's Center for Computational Quantum Physics (CCQ) invites applications for the Flatiron Research Fellow-Software position. Based in New York City, you will design and implement software for cutting-edge quantum research and contribute to major code efforts such as TRIQS, AFQMC and ITensor.

A strong background in software development and algorithms, plus a Ph.D. in a relevant field, is required.

Qualifications

• Strong software and algorithm development background.
• Experience with condensed matter physics or computational science fields.

Responsibilities

• Develop, implement, maintain and support scientific software for CCQ.
• Perform theoretical and computational research.
• Organize CCQ and Flatiron-wide seminars, workshops and meetings.
• Contribute to manuscripts and presentations; mentor students.
