The Gut Microbiome Laboratory at Mayo Clinic (Rochester, MN) seeks a motivated postdoctoral fellow to join a translational team studying pathophysiological mechanisms of GI motility disorders. Our integrated program brings together physiology, imaging, molecular biology, and in vivo models to explore gut-microbe-host interactions.

Qualifications

• PhD or MD/PhD in physiology, neuroscience, molecular biology, or related discipline and within five years of PhD completion.
• Experience in advanced imaging, single-cell or spatial transcriptomics, and mouse physiological studies.
• Not intended for clinical training; not open to MD/MBBS candidates seeking clinical roles.

Responsibilities

• Join a collaborative and translational research team to define pathophysiological mechanisms underlying GI motility disorders.
• Contribute to physiology, imaging, molecular biology, and in vivo mouse model projects.
• Help advance to the next stages of careers with mentorship and NIH-supported work.
