Job summary

The Gut Microbiome Laboratory at Mayo Clinic in Rochester, MN is seeking a highly motivated postdoctoral fellow to join a collaborative translational team focused on defining mechanisms underlying gastrointestinal motility disorders.

We study gut–microbe–host interactions using physiology, advanced imaging, molecular biology, and in vivo mouse models. The successful candidate will contribute to high-impact publications and benefit from mentorship, resources, and a diverse, inclusive culture.

Qualifications

• PhD or MD/PhD in physiology, neuroscience, molecular biology, or related discipline; within five years of PhD completion.
• Experience in advanced imaging, single-cell or spatial transcriptomics, and mouse physiological studies is desirable.

Responsibilities

• Join collaborative translational research team studying GI motility disorders.
• Contribute to physiology, imaging, molecular biology and in vivo mouse models work.
• Participate in publishing in high-impact journals and NIH-supported work.
• Support a diverse, inclusive, and mentorship-rich research environment.
