The School of Aerospace Engineering has a Research Engineer II-NE, part-time position available to work on the distribution control and covariance steering theory for non linear and stochastic hybrid systems under an NSF-sponsored project.

Responsibilities

Research in the area of an NSF-sponsored project on distributional control and covariance steering theory for nonlinear and stochastic hybrid systems.

Required Qualifications
  • A Master's degree in Aerospace Engineering, and three (3) years of relevant full-time experience after completion of that degree, or
  • A Master's degree in Aerospace Engineering, and five (5) years of relevant full-time experience after completion of a Bachelor's degree, or
  • A Doctoral degree in Aerospace Engineering or related area.
Preferred Qualifications

PhD in Electrical, Mecanical, or Aerospace Engineering or a closely affiliated field. Extensive prior experience with distributional control of stochastic systems and stochastic optimal control and variational methods such as the Stochastic Maximum Principle.
