UAB's Engineering and Innovative Technology Development (EITD) seeks an early-career Systems Engineer to support requirement development, test planning, and verification testing for payload systems used in space applications.
You will assist in producing system engineering documentation, analyze data, and ensure adherence to technical specifications and quality standards while coordinating with engineers across disciplines.
Early-career Systems Engineering position for UAB's Engineering and Innovative Technology Development (EITD) group. Assist with the development, tracking, test planning, and verification testing of project requirements and flight operations support for payload systems for space applications. Develop detailed system engineering documents and data analysis for requirement development and verification, as well as for post-flight and pre-flight support. Review and check engineering documentation produced by others for adherence to technical specifications, quality standards, and requirements. Demonstrate effective technical communication to work closely with engineers of other disciplines to develop high-reliability integrated systems.

Bachelor’s degree in a Mechanical or Electrical Engineering related field. Four (4) years of related experience required. Work experience may NOT substitute for education requirement.
