Job summary

Spectral Labs is building foundation models for engineering physical systems in SF. This in-person role turns research ideas into experiments and experiments into models that handle real CAD data, implementing architectures and training recipes, and scaling distributed training.

We seek 0–2 years of deep learning model experience, with strong Python and PyTorch or JAX skills, plus fundamentals to diagnose divergence.

Qualifications

• 0–2 years of experience building and training deep learning models.
• Strong Python and PyTorch or JAX skills.
• Fundamentals to understand why a run diverged, not only that it did.

Responsibilities

• Turn research ideas into experiments and experiments into models that work on real CAD data.
• Implement architectures and training recipes for scalable development.
• Scale distributed training and build evaluation harnesses.
• Design how geometry becomes model input.
