What to Expect (Job Responsibilities):

1. Innovate by developing novel performance-driven data sub-selection methods and enhancing data collection and annotation processes
2. Engineer and develop scalable data pipelines to support language model training and evaluation
3. Collaborate with a global team of engineers and scientists, as well as legal domain experts, to optimize training data and evaluate outputs
4. Utilize source control and backup systems for effective data versioning
5. Conduct research and present findings clearly to stakeholders, both orally and in writing

What is Required (Qualifications):

1. Relevant degree in a technical discipline
2. Experience with applied machine learning, including training of NLP classifiers and few-shot learning
3. Proficiency in programming, debugging, and system design
4. Experience with relational and NoSQL databases, as well as data pipeline orchestration tools
5. Familiarity with cloud-based data platforms such as AWS, GCP, or Azure

How to Stand Out (Preferred Qualifications):

1. Additional knowledge or interest in the legal domain
2. Experience with big data technologies like Spark or Hadoop
3. Contributions to publications at leading machine learning venues
4. Previous work on large-scale data processing systems
5. Strong software and/or infrastructure engineering skills evidenced by code contributions to open-source libraries
