The USC Mark and Mary Stevens Neuroimaging and Informatics Institute and Laboratory of Neuro Imaging (INI) leads advanced computational and scientific approaches for mapping brain structure and function. Our multidisciplinary environment integrates clinical, psychological, and genotypic information with neuroimaging phenotypes to answer questions in neurology, psychiatry, and developmental neurobiology.
We are recruiting a full‑time Research Engineer to assist with projects related to neurodegenerative disorders. The role involves data processing, analysis, application of machine learning, generative AI, and ensemble integration methods, data visualization for model interpretability, and preparation of abstracts, conference papers, and manuscripts.
The primary responsibilities include working with large‑scale databases to identify trajectories of brain decline, documenting methods publicly on GitHub, training colleagues in the methodologies, and writing conference papers and manuscripts. The candidate will work within the scope of funded projects, including but not limited to brain mapping in aging and Alzheimer’s disease.
The annual base salary range for this position is $89,291.89 – $99,000.00.
