The Osher Center for Integrative Health (OCIH) in Cincinnati seeks an experienced research director to lead and expand research in integrative and lifestyle medicine. The candidate will oversee research design, protocols, and funding to support evidence-based integrative therapies such as acupuncture, mind-body therapies, and lifestyle approaches like nutrition and exercise for chronic disease prevention and treatment. This role involves collaboration with university and health system leadership to align research strategies with institutional goals.
The Research Director will lead efforts to ensure high-quality, innovative, and evidence-based care through research. The role is primarily research-focused, with at least 40% dedicated to research and administration, and includes responsibilities in education and clinical activities. The position involves building a sustainable research program in integrative health, mentoring faculty and students, and developing interdisciplinary collaborations. The director will hold an adjunct faculty appointment and report to the Center Director and Department Chair.
Key responsibilities include developing a leading research program, securing funding, designing studies, mentoring, and disseminating findings. The candidate should have a PhD, MD, or equivalent in relevant fields, with 5-7 years of post-doctoral research experience, a track record of successful funding and publications, and a reputation at national and international levels.
