Job summary
Forschungszentrum Jülich GmbH is seeking a Software Developer / Scientist for the Research Data Management team. You will contribute to sustainable plant usage by developing algorithms and managing research data, focusing on bioeconomy.
The ideal candidate will have a relevant degree, experience in web development, and excellent English communication skills. The position offers a varied and meaningful role in an international team with generous benefits, including 30 vacation days and support for professional development.
Qualifications
- Completed university degree (Bachelor or Master) in computer science, bioinformatics, or equivalent qualification.
- Practical experience in user-oriented web development projects.
- Good knowledge of database design and applications.
- Experience with domain data from agricultural and/or plant sciences is advantageous.
- Excellent team spirit, communication, and organizational skills.
- Excellent English language skills (C1 level or higher); knowledge of German is a plus.
Responsibilities
- Implement central search services within the research data infrastructures.
- Develop an inventory service providing a searchable overview of infrastructures.
- Collaborate with colleagues on research data management topics.
- Present scientific results at meetings and publish in high-ranking journals.
