Job Summary

Responsible for overseeing and managing the financial aspects of research projects and grants by working closely with researchers, grant managers, and finance teams to ensure effective financial planning, analysis, reporting, and compliance with funding regulations to support the success of research programs.

Essential Functions
-Lead financial planning and analysis for research projects, including budget development, cost projections, and financial forecasting.

-Collaborate with researchers and grant managers to develop project budgets and grant proposals, ensuring alignment with funding agency guidelines and institutional policies.

-Prepare accurate and comprehensive financial reports for research projects, grants, and funding agencies.

-Ensure compliance with funding agency regulations, institutional financial policies, and research ethics guidelines.

-Utilize financial management systems and software to maintain accurate project financial records, track expenditures, and analyze financial data.

-Identify potential financial risks associated with research projects and grants.

-Provide guidance and mentorship to finance staff and junior finance specialists.

Qualifications

Education
Bachelor’s Degree Finance required or Bachelor’s Degree Accounting required and Master’s Degree Related Field of Study preferred
