Job description

The Department of Psychology at the University of Virginia (UVA) seeks applications for a Research Coordinator, Long Term Memory Lab. Our research aims to understand how we use strategic, goal directed processes to form and retrieve memories. By using a combination of recording techniques including scalp EEG and fMRI, along with multiple data analytic techniques, the lab answers questions about how global brain states and organizational strategies underlie our ability to successfully form and retrieve memories. For more information on the Department of Psychology and to read our Mission Statement, please go to https://psychology.as.virginia.edu/about-us.

The goal of the research in the lab is to understand the neural mechanisms that support our ability to form and retrieve memories. The lab collects behavioral, scalp electroencephalographic (EEG), and/or functional magnetic resonance imaging (fMRI) data while human subjects perform memory tasks.
