Job Description

Seeking a full time research coordinator who is creative,enthusiastic, and motivated for the Mulvaney lab at the Children’sNational Research and Innovation Center in Washington, DC. The labwill be affiliated with the Fralin Biomedical Research Institute(FBRI) at Virginia Tech and jointly be members of the Children’sNational Hospital Cancer and Immunobiology program. The lab’s workfocuses on signaling pathways in pediatric and adult cancers—with aparticular emphasis on therapeutically targeting enzymevulnerabilities. Available projects include structurally andbiochemically identifying mechanisms of substrate recruitment tomethyltransferases, such as PRMT5, and CRISPR screening forcombination drug treatments for various tumor types.

The research coordinator will be responsible for performingcomputational analyses and modeling. Additional duties includemaintaining a well-kept lab notebook and documentation on GitHub,GEO and other relevant computational databases for publication.Training will be provided for all aspects of the position. RAs willcontribute to interesting projects and have the opportunity topublish or co-publish their work.
