USNH Employees should apply within Workday through the Jobs Hub appThe Exploration, Learning and Mind Lab (PI: Emily Liquin) is seeking a part-time Research Coordinator. The Research Coordinator will contribute to research on the cognitive psychology of curiosity and learning. This is an hourly position for one year, with the possibility of renewal for a second year pending funding availability. The Exploration, Learning, and Mind Lab uses behavioral and computational approaches to investigate how children and adults learn and discover new things, with a focus on understanding curiosity, question asking, and exploration. The Research Coordinator will assist with conducting ongoing research and will be involved in general administration and supervision of the lab.Duties/ResponsibilitiesCategory 1 (40%)Conducting studies in the laboratory, as well as offsite and online.Category 2 (30%)Providing support with general research activities (e.g., data analysis, literature review, writing research manuscripts, etc.)Category 3 (15%)Recruiting, training, and coordinating undergraduate research assistantsCategory 4 (15%)Performing various administrative duties (e.g., managing the labs’ IRB protocols, maintaining budgets,submitting reimbursement requests, managing participant recruiting systems, maintaining lab websites,maintaining lab emails)Minimum Acceptable Education & Experience :A Bachelor’s degree in psychology, cognitive science, linguistics, or neuroscienceResearch experience in psychologyKnowledge, Skills & Abilities :The ability to work independentlyKeen attention to detailExcellent communication skillsStrong organizational and problem-solving skillsPassion and interest for conducting cognitive and/or developmental psychology researchPreferred Qualifications :> 1 year working or volunteering in a psychology research laboratoryIndependently led research project (e.g., honors thesis, capstone, summer project, etc.)Experience conducting primary research in cognitive and/or developmental psychologyExperience with quantitative research methodsExperience with R, Python, Javascript/HTML/CSS, or other programming languagesExperience managing a teamOther Requirements:Regular weekend availabilityReliable personal transportation to off-campus research sites (in Seacoast Region, New HampshireApplicant InstructionsApplicants should be prepared to upload the following documents when applying online within the My Experience: Resume/Cover Letter section of your application:Resume/CVCover LetterContact Information for 3 Professional ReferencesApplications that are missing any of the required items may not move forward for consideration.
