Job summary

University of Colorado Boulder is seeking a Research Computing Storage Administrator to support the PetaLibrary storage service and HPC clusters. You will help ensure data reliability, performance, and compliance for petabyte-scale research storage, collaborating with senior staff.

Responsibilities include monitoring, expansion/upgrades, testing, and documentation; hybrid work with on-site Tuesdays, visa sponsorship not available, and a compensation package in CU Boulder’s range.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's Degree in science, engineering, or related field; substitution allowed per policy.
• 2 years of professional experience administering storage systems in a Linux/Unix environment, including parallel file systems.

Responsibilities

• Monitor storage infrastructure utilization and system metrics; build and maintain monitoring/alerting automation.
• Participate in storage expansion, upgrades, and improvements across PetaLibrary and related storage.
• Test and tune storage and data-transfer systems for performance and reliability.
