What To Expect (Job Responsibilities)

  • Prepare and negotiate clinical research budgets for various research projects
  • Collaborate with clinical research sponsors and legal teams to ensure compliance with study fee schedules and contracts
  • Organize clinical trial budget, income, and expense documents, entering data into budget software systems
  • Ensure timely invoicing to sponsors and assist research leadership in maintaining financial integrity
  • Monitor and analyze financial data related to clinical trials

What Is Required (Qualifications)

  • Minimum of two (2) years of experience in a clinical setting, medical auditing, case management, healthcare insurance, or relevant experience
  • Bachelor's degree in Business Administration, Finance, Healthcare, or a research-related field

How To Stand Out (Preferred Qualifications)

  • Prior experience in clinical research (industry/pharmaceutical and/or federal grants), billing compliance, and research contract management
  • Knowledge of healthcare compliance and federal regulations related to clinical research
  • Experience with Excel (V-Lookups, Pivot Tables, Index, etc.) and Clinical Trial Management System software with financial tracking capabilities
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Office applications, including Word and Outlook
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills, along with strong reading comprehension skills to understand research protocol
