Starting salary: $67,699.63
Eligible for step increase after six months: $69,396.60
Eligible for step increase after one year: $74,629.46

This position involves highly responsible confidential legal work for the Hon. Judge Amy Fellows Cline of the Kansas Court of Appeals. Responsibilities include reviewing briefs and case records, researching legal questions, preparing prehearing memoranda, and other tasks as assigned by the judge.
Approximately August 10, 2026, through August 4, 2028, with possible extension.
Graduation from an ABA Accredited law school by June 2026. Preference may be given to applicants with a GPA in the top third of their class. Must be eligible to practice law in Kansas, either currently licensed or with a transferable UBE score per Supreme Court Rule 717.
Applicants not yet licensed must complete additional steps before employment, including applying to take or transfer the UBE, submitting proof of MPRE and character fitness, and obtaining a Kansas temporary permit.
