Job Responsibilities
- Serve as a Resource - Demonstrate competence in specific knowledge, skills and behaviors.

- Stay abreast of changes in key systems.
- Serve as a resource to the department in specific area(s).
- Perform experiments and record data - Follow research protocol.
- Maintain accurate and detailed records of all laboratory work and experiments.
- Analyze data; perform statistical and graphical analysis of data.
- Design and execute daily laboratory experiments in coordination with senior laboratory personnel.
- Reproduce and evaluate techniques and results for accuracy.
- Apply standard protocols to specific experiments, research and improve current methods, and evaluate innovative techniques.
- Assist in training students and new/junior laboratory personnel in laboratory techniques and equipment operation.
- Customer Service - Maintain/manage strong working relationships with clients, colleagues, and other key stakeholders. Respond to requests quickly and effectively. Identify and understand customer needs and expectations and meet them. Communicate any relevant information to clients, colleagues, and other key stakeholders.
- Lab Administration - Troubleshoot and correct erroneous results or problems with laboratory equipment. Reproduce and evaluate techniques and results for accuracy. Maintain inventory of laboratory supplies and equipment. Maintain cell cultures. Operate standard laboratory equipment. Use and maintain laboratory equipment appropriately. Respond to obviously erroneous results or problems with equipment. Assist in daily operations of the laboratory including answering phone, maintaining lab supplies, organization, and cleanliness. Provide appropriate safety monitoring checks as assigned (radiation safety, biosafety, etc.).
Job Qualifications
- High school diploma or equivalent.
- 2 years of work experience in a related job discipline or equivalent combination of education and experience.
- May require an Associate degree, vocational training, apprenticeships or equivalent.

Expected Starting Pay Range: Annualized pay may vary based on FTE status $20.57 - $25.72
