Job summary

Prellis Biologicś seeks a highly motivated Research Associate - Senior Research Associate, Cell Culture/Cell Line Development to join the Antibody Screening team. You will maintain and scale mammalian cell lines (e.g., CHO, HEK293) for biologics discovery and contribute to cell-based assays with close cross-functional collaboration.

The role involves hands-on lab work, data analysis, record-keeping, and process optimization to improve productivity and product quality.

Qualifications

  • BS in life sciences with 2+ years relevant experience.
  • 1–2 years hands-on mammalian cell culture; aseptic technique required.
  • Familiarity with cell line development techniques (stable/transient transfection, clone selection).
  • Strong organizational and time management skills in a fast-paced environment.
  • Ability to work independently and in a cross-functional team.
  • Experience with small-scale bioreactor systems is a plus.

Responsibilities

  • Perform aseptic mammalian cell culture across multiple lines (e.g., CHO, HEK293).
  • Maintain, passage, expansion, and cryopreserve cell lines for downstream use.
  • Support cell line development workflows, including transfection and clone screening.
  • Contribute to cell-based in vitro assays for antibody screening and characterization.
  • Maintain meticulous experimental records and communicate findings in meetings.
  • Assist process optimization for productivity and product quality.

Job description

Prellis Biologics uses proprietary technology to 3D print lymph node organoids, which we are using to generate in vitro antibody libraries and in vitro human lymph node cocultures for generating antigen-specific B-cells. We are seeking a highly motivated Research Associate - Senior Research Associate, Cell Culture/Cell Line Development, to join our Antibody Screening team. The successful candidate will contribute to the maintenance, scale-up, and development of mammalian cell lines for biologics discovery. This role will involve hands‑on laboratory work, data analysis, and close collaboration with cross‑functional teams.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Perform aseptic mammalian cell culture across multiple cell lines in parallel (e.g., CHO, HEK293, etc.)
  • Support routine maintenance, passaging, expansion, and cryopreservation of cell lines to ensure a reliable supply of high-quality cells for downstream applications
  • Support cell line development workflows, including transfection, clone screening, and selection
  • Contribute to cell based in vitro assay execution to support antibody screening and downstream characterization efforts
  • Maintain meticulous experimental records and effectively communicate findings in internal meetings
  • Contribute to process optimization for improved productivity and product quality
Minimum Qualifications:
  • B.S. in Molecular Biology, Chemistry, Immunology, Biotechnology, or related life science field with 2+ years of relevant experience.
  • 1–2 years of hands‑on laboratory experience in mammalian cell culture is required (industry setting preferred). Demonstrated proficiency with aseptic technique.
  • Familiarity with cell line development techniques (stable and transient transfection, clone selection, characterization, etc.).
  • Strong organizational and time management skills to contribute to multiple projects in a fast‑paced environment.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a collaborative team.
  • Experience with small‑scale bioreactor systems is a strong plus.
