Position: Research Associate Scientific II

Location: Onsite/Hybrid in Round Lake, IL (3 days onsite, 2 days remote)

Duration: 18 Months contract

Work Schedule: 8-hour workdays (between 7-5)

Must-Have Skills

• Basic understanding of sterilization methods (Moist Heat, Aseptic, Irradiation)
• Basic understanding of microbiological method validations (sterility, bioburden, bacterial endotoxin)
• Ability to write, execute, review validation and qualification protocols and reports
• Ability to evaluate and interpret technical data and test results
• Bachelor's degree required
• 2-4 years of recent experience preferred, focusing on Microbiology and Sterility Assurance

Nice to Have Skills

• Understanding of aseptic technique
• Ability to conduct experiments independently
• Knowledge of GxP regulations and guidance

Additional Responsibilities

• Contribute technical knowledge to projects within sterility assurance
• Make technical recommendations and analyze procedures independently
• Execute routine assignments using appropriate techniques
• Maintain knowledge of Quality System Regulations and safety requirements
• Support product development and change controls
• Write, execute, review validation and qualification protocols and reports
• Evaluate technical data and test results
• Possess laboratory, writing, and computer skills, with teamwork abilities
• Bachelor's Degree in a scientific discipline with 2-4 years lab experience
• Background in microbiology, with lab experience working with microorganisms
• Experience with report generation and data analysis, basic MS Office skills
• Ideal candidates have academic lab experience, possibly with a Master's (1-year experience) or a PhD (overqualification)

Interview Process

Two interviews: one Teams round (30-45 minutes with two team members), and one onsite interview.
