Job Title: Entry level Research Associate (per diem)

Parexel Early Phase Clinical Unit supports the development of innovative medicines vital for public health, improving outcomes, and saving lives. The early phase and "first in human" trials are initial steps in testing these treatments.

At Parexel Baltimore, MD, our highly trained Research Associates are crucial for successful Phase I trials. This role is ideal for those aspiring to become enrollment specialists, clinical research coordinators, or managers. Parexel offers comprehensive support to foster career growth.

Post-Training Responsibilities:

  • Understand study protocols and perform required medical procedures.
  • Recruit participants via calls, community events, flyers, etc.
  • Manage participant data and maintain logs and systems.
  • Conduct screening and study visits, assist with assessments.
  • Manage study supplies and samples.
  • Resolve participant issues and ensure safety.
  • Assist with monitor visits and identify issues needing sponsor approval.
  • Maintain knowledge of clinical guidelines.
  • Engage appropriately with participants and caregivers.
  • Ensure accurate documentation and comply with quality standards.

Your Profile:

  • Customer service experience in fast-paced environments.
  • Located near Baltimore, MD, with reliable commute to MedStar Harbor Hospital.
  • Ability to stand and walk for extended periods.
  • B.S. in a related science or relevant experience with HS diploma/GED.
  • CPT/Phlebotomy certification preferred.

Hours/Shift: Onsite shifts only (no remote work). This is a per diem, part-time role without benefits.

Training: 4-6 weeks, 30-40 hours/week, day shift (6:50am-3:20pm).

Post-Training Minimum Availability:

  • At least 16 hours/week and 2 weekend shifts of 12 hours in a 4-week month, or 3 weekend shifts in a 5-week month.
  • Hours vary based on business needs.

Shift Flexibility: Willingness to work any shift (day, evening, overnight, weekend).

Attendance at bi-monthly training sessions may be required.

Pay Range: $20.00 - $22.00/hour, with potential bonuses and benefits.
