Job summary

Institute for Biomarker Research, a division of Genesis Global Group, seeks a Research Associate for in-person work in Hamilton, NJ. The role focuses on designing and validating microbiological and molecular diagnostic assays, performing experiments, and reporting data to CLIA/CAP standards.

The ideal candidate holds a Bachelor’s degree in a relevant field with strong molecular biology and genetics background; experience with aseptic techniques, CAP/cGLP is a plus, and familiarity with qPCR and

Qualifications

Bachelor’s degree in relevant field required; strong background in molecular biology and genetics is a plus.
Aseptic, microbiological, molecular and cellular biology techniques with CAP accreditation and cGLP familiarity valued.
Experience with bacterial, fungal, viral, and parasitic pathogenesis and culture desirable.
Experience in test development, troubleshooting, optimization and validation, particularly qPCR, desirable.

Responsibilities

Design and validate microbiological and molecular diagnostic assays.
Design and perform experiments and analyze data using diverse procedures and laboratory equipment.
Record details of procedures and data; create CLIA/CAP compliant reports.
Perform laboratory tests according to SOPs and equipment specifications.
Prepare reagents and handle biological samples in a BSL-2 setting.
