Qualifications

  • MS or PhD in materials science, mechanical engineering, metallurgical engineering, additive manufacturing, or related field.
  • PhD preferred for advanced research leadership potential.
  • Experience with metal additive manufacturing processes and lab workflows.

Responsibilities

  • Lead hands-on characterization work including tomography, microscopy, metallography, and related analyses.
  • Link experimental results with modeling to advance process understanding.
  • Produce high-quality results, figures, methods descriptions, and technical summaries.
  • Integrate knowledge across processing, post-processing, characterization, and interpretation stages.
