Position Title: Research Associate, Mechanical and Aerospace Engineering
The University at Buffalo Nanosatellite Laboratory (UBNL) is seeking to hire a highly motivated and skilled Research Associate to manage the laboratory’s overall operations. The UBNL has been helping undergraduates kickstart their successful careers since 2013. Alumni from the laboratory have moved on to careers at places like NASA, SpaceX, Boeing, Northrop Grumman, and many more. It aids students in building the skills necessary to become experienced engineers. Currently, the UBNL has one mission, which will be delivered to the Air Force as part of its University Nanosatellite Program, and a Short Cycle Laboratory (SCL). The SCL is for newcomers and those who desire to work in the laboratory but have yet to decide which subsystem to join.
The successful candidate will help manage the overall operations of the UBNL. Tasks may include:
Minimum Qualifications:
Salary Range: $80,000 - $90,000
The salary range reflects our good faith and reasonable estimate of the possible compensation at the time of posting, the role and associated responsibilities, and the experience, education, and training of the selected candidate.
Work Hours: Monday – Friday, 8:00 a.m. – 4:00 p.m.
