University of Colorado Anschutz Medical Campus is seeking a Research Associate/Senior Research Associate in the Pietras Laboratory. The role focuses on blood cancer and inflammation biology, with extensive use of flow cytometry, molecular biology, and cell biology assays on hematopoietic populations.

The position involves independent work under the PI, with opportunities to develop into a leadership role and contribute to publications and grant proposals.

Qualifications

• Doctoral degree in immunology, stem cell biology, experimental hematology or related field.
• At least one first-author publication in a peer-reviewed journal.
• Experience level: Research Associate 1 year; Senior Research Associate 2 years.

Responsibilities

• Design and perform research experiments.
• Investigate cancer and inflammation therapeutics mechanisms.
• Characterize metabolic processes of normal and leukemic cells.
• Use animal models to study leukemia pathogenesis.
• Analyze and publish research data; prepare data/manuscripts for publication.
• Mentor students and technical staff; contribute to grant proposals.
