Job summary

TD2 is a leading oncology CRO focused on moving medicines from preclinical to clinical development within GLP/CAP environments in Washington state. The Research Associate II, Preclinical/Clinical Team - Flow Cytometry, will support sample processing, data acquisition, and analysis for both preclinical and clinical programs.

Key responsibilities include following protocols, running samples, maintaining records, and helping prepare for studies.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor's Degree in Biotechnology or a related field is required.
  • Master's degree and 4–6 years general lab experience may substitute for flow cytometry experience.
  • Experience in tissue culture is required.

Responsibilities

  • Interprets and follows flow cytometry protocols with accuracy.
  • Prepares and runs samples for flow cytometry analysis.
  • Maintains detailed and organized lab notes and files.
  • Performs QC and verification of data and records.
  • Troubleshoots data and equipment as needed.
  • Works with leadership to prepare for studies and protocols.

Job description

Position Summary:

The Research Associate ll, Preclinical/Clinical Team - Flow Cytometry, executes and provides support for sample processing, acquisition, and data analysis in preclinical and/or clinical development within a Good Laboratory Practice (GLP) / Washington State Medical Test Site/ CAP Accredited environment.

Essential Functions:
  • Interprets and follows, with accuracy, both study and flow cytometry protocols.
  • Prepares and run samples for flow cytometry analysis.
  • Independently performs tissue culture activities.
  • Maintains detailed and organized laboratory notes, documents, and files.
  • Performs quality control review and verification of scientific data.
  • Works with laboratory leadership to properly prepare for and execute assigned studies and protocols.
  • Maintains and calibrates lab equipment daily and/or weekly, including but not limited to the flow cytometer.
  • Prepares various solutions for stock or project use.
  • Performs QC and verification of flow cytometry data and/or maintenance records.
  • Independent troubleshooting of data and various pieces of equipment
  • Participates in team and scientific meetings as appropriate.
  • Work in a team-oriented environment and also able to work independently with assistance by supervisor.
  • Suggests topics and prepares data for poster presentations.
  • Adheres to protocols and standard operating procedures.
  • Participate in the development of standard operation procedures, as appropriate.
  • Perform other duties as assigned.
Job Requirements:
  • 4-7 years Flow Cytometry experience and Bachelor's Degree/Biotechnology Certificate in science required.
  • Master's degree and 4-6 years general lab experience can replace flow cytometry experience at TD2's discretion.
  • Experience in tissue/cell culture is required.
Required Specialized/Technical Skills:
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office
  • Experience in a Good Laboratory Practice (GLP) / CAP setting.
  • Strong communication skills, both written and verbal.
  • Strong time management skills.
  • Ability to work as a team and independently.
  • Good at multitasking and detail oriented
  • Rotating after hours/weekends as assigned.
