Job summary

Crown Bioscience San Diego Inc. is seeking a Research Associate to support biomarker studies and ensure quality standards across projects in oncology and immuno-oncology.

Qualifications

  • B.S. or above in biotechnology, cell biology, immunology, oncology or related disciplines.
  • Hands-on experience (minimum 1 year) with histology and slide-based lab work.
  • Able to operate routine histological procedures such as tissue grossing, embedding, sectioning, staining, IHC, IF, etc.
  • Knowledge of basic histological principles, especially related to oncology.
  • Proficient in MS Office and familiar with basic statistics and related software.
  • At least three years of combined experience in a field related to immunohistochemistry or pathology.

Responsibilities

  • Handle histology, pathology, immunohistochemistry, spatial transcriptomics, and fluorescent slide assays.
  • Support other experiments such as flow cytometry, proteomics, hematology, and NGS.
  • Follow SOPs and training sessions accurately.
  • Record experimental processes and data and report to supervisors on time.
  • Summarize and report data and relevant documents to supervisors.
  • Communicate effectively with the global biomarker team and other departments.
  • Assist in daily lab management and biomarker facilities according to needs and quality systems.
  • Fulfill other tasks as assigned by leadership.

Summary

The purpose of the Research Associate position is to provide support on biomarker studies to meet the company's goals, objectives and quality standards.

Responsibilities
  • - Responsible for a variety of histology, pathology, immunohistochemistry, spatial transcriptomic, and fluorescent slide assays.
  • - Other duties may include a variety of experiments such as flow cytometry, pathology/IHC, proteomics, hematology, NGS.
  • - Carry out work in strict accordance to SOPs and training sessions.
  • - Carefully record the experimental process and data and submit timely reports to supervisors.
  • - Analyze, summarize, and report experimental data and relevant documents to supervisors.
  • - Effective communication within the global biomarker team and with other departments.
  • - Participate in the support and daily management of the laboratory team.
  • - Manage biomarker lab facilities according to experiment needs and quality systems.
  • - Be able to fulfill other tasks assigned by leaders.
Minimum Requirements
  • - B.S. or above in biotechnology, cell biology, immunology, oncology or other related disciplines.
  • - Hands on experience (minimum 1 year) with histology and slide-based lab work.
  • - Able to operate routine histological procedure such as tissue grossing, samples embedding, sectioning, chemical staining, IHC, IF, etc.
  • - Knowledge of basic histological principles, especially related to oncology.
  • - Proficient in using MS Office software and familiar with statistical analysis and the application of related analysis software.
  • - At least three years of combined experience in a field related to immunohistochemistry or pathology.
Preferred Requirements
  • - Good communication skills and a positive attitude.
  • - Lab supervisory or management experience (stocking, validation, quality assurance, etc.)
  • - Eager to learn new and advanced techniques.

The California salary range for this position is: $60,000-$65,000
