Job summary

University of Illinois Chicago's Institute for Health Research and Policy is seeking a Research Associate II - Social Sciences (Hourly) in Chicago, IL. The role will support data collection, entry and cleaning, and generate descriptive results to advance ongoing health research projects.

Responsibilities include implementing data collection, recruiting and enrolling participants, performing data quality checks, and attending monthly PROTECT team meetings with the project manager and PI.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in social science or related field is required.
• A minimum of one year related research experience is required.
• Knowledge of research concepts, practices and procedures.

Minimum Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in social science or related field required.
• A minimum of one year related research experience.
• Knowledge of research concepts, practices and procedures.

Preferred Qualifications

• Coursework in public health, nutrition, social sciences or relevant experience in public health/community-related research.
• Lived experience that matches participant communities.
• Experience with REDCap data collection.
• 1 year experience in human subject research or clinical experience.
• Background and/or interest in child health, oral health, or nutrition.
• Experience related to social services, or patient navigation.
