Job Description

Dr. Maria Abreu's team is seeking a Research Associate II to join the lab focused on preventing and treating inflammatory bowel diseases (IBD) and inflammatory colon cancer. The research aims to understand how the immune system and gut microbes interact and how environmental and genetic factors, including diet, influence this relationship.

Responsibilities include:

  • Performing complex experimental protocols and assisting in designing new techniques.
  • Maintaining accurate records, troubleshooting, and supporting lab operations.
  • Assisting in data analysis, publication preparation, and safety compliance.
  • Training junior staff and managing laboratory supplies and equipment.

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's Degree in a science-related field.
  • At least 1 year of research experience, with 2 years preferred.
