You will prepare preclinical formulations, perform stability and solubility tests by HPLC/UPLC, assist with oral solid dosage development, and contribute to presentations and publications.

Qualifications

• BS/BA or higher in chemistry, pharmaceutics, engineering, or related field.
• 2–4 years of industry experience in pharma or related sector.
• Proficiency in HPLC/UPLC techniques and data handling.
• Strong documentation and organizational skills.
• Experience handling potent compounds safely.
• Proficient with Microsoft 365 and basic lab equipment.

Research Associate I, Pharmaceutical Development ~ Contract

Nurix Therapeutics is a biopharmaceutical company focused on the discovery, development, and commercialization of small molecule therapies designed to modulate cellular protein levels as a novel treatment approach for cancer and immune disorders. Leveraging Nurix's extensive expertise in E3 ligases together with its proprietary DNA-encoded libraries, Nurix has built DELigase, an integrated discovery platform to identify and advance novel drug candidates targeting E3 ligases, a broad class of enzymes that can modulate proteins within the cell. Nurix's drug discovery approach is to either harness or inhibit the natural function of E3 ligases within the ubiquitin proteasome system to selectively decrease or increase cellular protein levels.

Description

Nurix is looking for a Research Associate I, Pharmaceutical Development to provide scientific, technical, and hands‑on support of drug discovery and product development related to small molecules from early discovery to clinical trial enabling studies.

• Prepare and characterize preclinical formulations in support of multiple programs.
• Perform stability and solubility testing using HPLC/UPLC.
• Assist with pre‑formulation and formulation development for oral solid dosage forms.
• Contribute to internal and external presentations and publications.

Qualifications

• Thorough understanding of basic chemistry principles
• Excellent basic quantitative laboratory skills including weighing, pipetting, and use of volumetric

• Strong basic HPLC/UPLC skills and understanding (XRD and Mass Spec experience a plus)
• Excellent organizational and documentation skills
• Proficiency in Microsoft 365
• Experience in safe handling of potent compounds
• BS/BA or higher in chemistry, pharmaceutics, engineering, or related field with 2 - 4 years of industry experience
