Altasciences in Seattle seeks a laboratory assistant to support formulation, sampling and dispensing of dose formulations. You will handle test materials, review receipts, contribute to material disposition, and document data in study notebooks.

Ideal candidates have 0–1 years in a regulated lab environment, strong attention to detail, and proficient use of Microsoft Office. The role involves cross-functional collaboration and maintaining clean lab spaces while adapting to changing priorities.

Qualifications

• BS in a scientific discipline or relevant work experience.

• Proficiency with Microsoft Office and sample/document handling.

Responsibilities

• Prepare, sample, and dispense complex dose formulations with guidance.
• Receive test materials, review and reconcile receipt.
• Participate in disposition of formulation and test materials.
• Document data and maintain study notebooks accurately.
• Follow protocols, maintain cleanliness and inventory, and ship materials as needed.
• Support cross-training for pharmacy operations if needed.

About The Role

Primary responsibilities include performing basic test and control article formulation, dose preparation and dispensing. Also responsible for receiving test and disposition of test and control articles or associated materials and maintaining chain of custody documentation associated with test and control materials, including inventory control.

What You'll Do Here

• Prepare, sample, and dispense more complex dose formulations including solutions and suspensions with guidance.
• Receive test materials, reagents, review, and reconcile test material receipt.
• Participate in disposition of formulation and test materials.
• Document and review raw data accurately while preparing and maintaining study notebooks.
• Reviews protocols and provides formulation comments.
• Prepare and ship materials as needed.
• Replenish supplies and maintains cleanliness of the laboratory and equipment.
• Understand and follow Good Laboratory Practices (GLP).
• May assist in study finalization and inventory of test materials in Dispense. (Varies by site)
• May cross train to support pharmacy operations, i.e. dispense controlled substances. (Varies by site)
• Other duties as assigned.

• Equivalent combination of education and work experience may substitute for education requirement.
• Satisfactory performance, demonstrated skill and completion of required training will determine eligibility for advancement from current level.

What We Offer

The hourly range estimated for this position is $22 - $30/hour. Please note that salaries vary within the range based on factors including, but not limited to, prior relevant experience, skills, education, certification, location as well as internal equity and market data.
