Job summary

The Department of Electrical and Computer Engineering at the University of Virginia is accepting applications for a research associate position focused on fast MRI methods for brain MRI.

The Computational Biomedical Imaging Group (CBIG) pursues development of new algorithms for reconstruction and post-processing of medical images, with NIH funding supporting high-resolution brain relaxometry and MR spectroscopic imaging using machine learning.

Qualifications

• PhD required by start date.
• Experience in signal processing, machine learning, and MRI.

Responsibilities

• Develop MRI pulse sequences for fast MRI
• Develop novel theory, algorithms, and demonstrate its application to MR imaging
• Publish results in high-impact journals
• Mentor graduate and undergraduate students
