Position Description:
Woods Hole Oceanographic Institution (WHOI) is seeking a motivated and detail-oriented Research Associate to support the Marine Chemistry and Geochemistry Department during Summer 2025. This temporary, part-time role offers the opportunity to contribute to a high-impact scientific initiative focused on ocean iron fertilization (OIF) field research in the high seas. The position is fully remote, with occasional in-person meetings in the Washington, D.C. area. The successful candidate will work closely with the ExOIS Program Office (PO) and WHOI team members via virtual collaboration. Responsibilities include assisting in the coordination and preparation of permit application materials for OIF field research in the high seas.

Physical duties include lifting less than 25 lbs., carrying 10-25 lbs., visual and hearing requirements, and other physical tasks such as standing, walking, grasping, reaching, and working around others.
