Job summary

Harvard Business School in Boston, MA seeks a full-time Research Associate to support case writing and course development for the spring 2027 MBA elective in Business Analysis and Valuation.

Ideal candidates will have a strong understanding of core accounting principles and writing skills, a GPA above 3.5, and the ability to work independently with intellectual curiosity. The role reports to faculty in the Research Staff Services office and is hybrid with onsite needs.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree with a GPA above 3.5 is required.
• Ability to read academic information and write a reasoned analysis, as well as produce a creative interpretation, is a must.
• Prior academic writing experience and strong data interpretation are helpful.

Responsibilities

• Write cases, case supplements, project reports, and drafts for a book project from start to finish.
• Write articles for applicable business audiences such as Harvard Business Review.
• Apply complex research ideas to new projects with independent judgment and structure assignments.
• Build trust and collaboration by being on-site and engaging with colleagues.
• Perform other duties as assigned.
