The Department of Cell and Developmental Biology at the PerelmanSchool of Medicine at the University of Pennsylvania seekscandidates for a Research Associate position in the AcademicSupport Staff. This appointment will be initially for one (1) yearand continuation during that time period and renewal are based onsatisfactory performance and availability of funding (limited tothree (3) years). Expertise is required in the specific area ofneuronal and iPSC cell culture, molecular biology, chromatinbiology, genomics, and imaging studies. Applicants must have aPh.D. degree.

Responsibilities may include investigation of the regulation andfunctions of nuclear speckles and chromatin organization duringneuronal stimulation, using a wide range of approaches includingmolecular biology, cell biology, genomics approaches, and imagingstudies.

The successful applicant will have an opportunity to furtherdevelop and prepare manuscripts and grants, present researchfindings in a national meeting, mentor junior scientists, andparticipate in career trainings offered by the University.

Candidate should have a minimum of 3-5 years postdoctoralexperience.
