This is an entry-level position designed for individuals who are eager to develop professional research and investigative skills. Previous experience in genealogy, public records research, or mortality verification is not required. We provide training and support to help you succeed.

We are seeking candidates who possess strong analytical abilities, intellectual curiosity, attention to detail, and a genuine interest in uncovering information through research. Recent graduates and individuals with academic backgrounds in Business, History, English, Political Science, Journalism, Library Sciences, or related fields are encouraged to apply.

Success in this role is driven by critical thinking, reading comprehension, research aptitude, and the ability to efficiently process a high volume of information while maintaining accuracy.

What You’ll Do
  • Review obituaries, death notices, and public records to identify potential family relationships and heirs.
  • Research and verify mortality status using multiple data sources.
  • Analyze information from both traditional and non-traditional resources to establish family connections.
  • Investigate and reconcile conflicting information through careful research and critical thinking.
  • Maintain a high degree of accuracy while managing a fast-paced workload.
  • Collaborate with team members to ensure timely and accurate results for clients.
  • Perform other duties as assigned.

Performance Expectations

This is a production-focused research position requiring both speed and accuracy. Successful team members are able to efficiently review and analyze a high volume of records, with productivity goals given each day while maintaining quality standards.

Hybrid, must live near or able to commute to the Fort Washington, PA office 1 day per week (Wednesdays)

The base pay range for this role is $20.50 - $25.50/hour. Base pay is positioned within the range based on several factors including an individual’s knowledge, skills, and experience, with consideration given to internal equity.
