Job summary

Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree or equivalent in a chemical, physical, biological, or clinical laboratory science.
  • 6 months of regulated laboratory experience preferred.
  • Working knowledge of Good Laboratory Practices and regulatory standards.
  • Proficiency with laboratory techniques, automation, or specialized equipment.
  • Ability to perform routine calculations involving batches, specimens, averages, and QC metrics.
  • Applicable certification or regulatory requirements may apply depending on location.

Responsibilities

  • Perform and document analytical procedures following SOPs and regulatory guidelines.
  • Analyze routine data to ensure procedures progress as expected and results stay within tolerances.
  • Identify and document potential performance issues, escalating to senior staff.
  • Prepare analytical results for upload to the LIMS under guidance of senior staff.
  • Prepare buffers and solutions and perform calibration and maintenance of equipment.
  • Support quality investigations, deviations, and implementation of changes.
  • Train laboratory personnel on routine procedures within competency areas.
  • Communicate clearly with cross-functional stakeholders, supporting 6S and safety initiatives.

Job Summary:

Perform routine laboratory testing and data analysis in accordance with standard operating procedures and regulatory guidelines. Document results accurately, maintain laboratory equipment, and collaborate with laboratory personnel and cross-functional stakeholders to support safety, quality, and operational excellence.

What You'll Be Doing:
  • Perform and document analytical procedures in accordance with SOPs and regulatory guidelines
  • Analyze routine data to confirm procedures are progressing as expected and results remain within acceptable tolerances
  • Identify and document potential performance errors or unusual results, escalating findings to senior laboratory personnel
  • Prepare analytical results for upload to the LIMS system under the guidance of senior staff
  • Prepare buffers and solutions and perform assigned equipment calibration and maintenance
  • Support quality investigations, deviations, procedural updates, and implementation of approved changes
  • Train and guide laboratory personnel on routine procedures in areas of demonstrated competency
  • Communicate clearly and promptly with cross-functional stakeholders while supporting safety, quality, and 6S initiatives
What We Are Looking For:
  • Bachelor's degree or an equivalent combination of education and experience; some CAP/CLIA laboratory locations may require a Bachelor of Science in a chemical, physical, biological, or clinical laboratory science, medical laboratory technology, or cytotechnology
  • 6 months experience in a regulated laboratory environment preferred
  • Working knowledge of applicable regulatory standards, including Good Laboratory Practices
  • Proficiency with relevant laboratory techniques, automation, or specialized laboratory equipment
  • Ability to perform routine and some non-routine laboratory calculations involving batches, specimens, averages, means, standard deviations, and quality-control metrics
  • Applicable certification and/or other requirements established by country, state, or other regulatory bodies
  • Other equivalent combination of education, training, and experience may be accepted in lieu of degree
The Knowledge, Skills and Abilities Needed for This Role:
  • Strong attention to detail and a consistent focus on accuracy and complete documentation
  • Ability to manage multiple tasks simultaneously and prioritize work effectively
  • Knowledge of laboratory safety, infection-control practices, standard precautions, and hazardous chemical handling
  • Good computer skills using Microsoft Outlook, Word, and Excel
  • Ability to collaborate effectively with internal and cross-functional stakeholders
  • Clear written and verbal communication skills and the ability to support the onboarding and training of laboratory staff

The potential base pay range for this role, when annualized, is $42,700.00 - $89,000.00. The actual base pay offered may vary based on a number of factors including job-related qualifications such as knowledge, skills, education, and experience; location; and/or schedule (full or part-time). Dependent on the position offered, incentive plans, bonuses, and/or other forms of compensation may be offered, in addition to a range of health and welfare and/or other benefits.
