Job summary

Coastal Vanguard LLC in Daytona Beach, FL, is seeking an Associate to run the firm’s research desk, shaping original analyses, frameworks, and the publication calendar.

You will own the process from framing questions with partners to publishing-ready artifacts, with 4–6 long-form papers and 4–6 advisories per year.

Qualifications

• 3+ years experience in marketing research, economics, industrial organization, or a related analytical discipline.
• Academic background (Master’s or PhD) in marketing, economics, statistics, or a related field.
• Published at least 3 long-form analyses — academic papers, white papers, or industry articles.
• Experience working with structured frameworks and primary research.

The role.

You will run the firm’s research desk — the original analyses, the structured frameworks, the publication calendar, and the analyst briefings. The desk publishes 4–6 long-form research papers per year and 4–6 short advisories per year, on a quarterly cadence. The desk’s work is the public record that supports every client engagement.

You will work with the firm’s partners on the question framing, with the firm’s research advisors on the methodology, and with the firm’s editorial team on the publish-ready artifact. The role is owner-driven: you carry the publication calendar, the analyst relationships, and the public record.

You will be measured on.

• Publication cadence. 4–6 long-form research papers and 4–6 short advisories per year, on a quarterly schedule, on time.
• Methodology rigor. Every paper is grounded in primary research, real public sources, and the firm’s structured frameworks. No fabrication, no hand-waving.
• Public record usage. Research and advisories are cited by the firm’s partners in client engagements, in industry press, and in the firm’s own sales conversations. The desk’s work compounds.

You will have.
