Augusta University is seeking a candidate for an advanced research role within its health sciences campus. This position involves conducting complex experiments and technical support in a research setting, focusing on molecular biology and other advanced methodologies.
Qualified candidates should possess either a Master’s degree or a Bachelor's degree with relevant clinical experience. The role also emphasizes excellent communication and organizational skills. The salary ranges from $45,400 to $48,711.65 annually and includes a comprehensive benefits package.

Location: Augusta University Health Sciences Campus and Summerville Campus, Augusta, GA. The Medical College of Georgia (MCG) is part of this institution, with regional clinical campuses and partnerships across the state.
Performs advanced administrative and technical work in support of research initiatives in an assigned laboratory or clinical research unit. Participates in research data collection and documentation within FDA guidelines and research institute protocols; develops and evaluates new research techniques and procedures. Performs a variety of complex chemical, biological, cytological, microscopic, histological, surgical and/or dissection procedures.
Master's degree from an accredited college or university in chemistry, biology, biochemistry, cell biology or other natural, life, health care or materials science directly related to the research area to which the position is assigned and experience in research, basic science or clinical laboratory, particularly clinical trial research. OR Bachelor's degree from an accredited college or university in chemistry, biology, biochemistry, cell biology or other natural, life, health care or materials science directly related to the research area to which the position is assigned and a minimum of three years' research and/or clinical experience.
Experience with Cancer drug development. Experience with Oncolytic viruses.
All selected candidates are required to successfully pass a Background Check prior to starting. Additional checks may be required based on duties (credit check for positions of trust or departmental purchase card usage; motor vehicle reports for vehicle drivers; and transcript/credential verification for faculty hires).
