Job summary

The University of California - Los Angeles Health is seeking a full-time Research Assistant to join the Integrated Substance Use and Addiction Programs (ISAP) at the Semel Institute. The role supports participant recruitment, data collection, and study coordination in behavioral health research.

Ideal candidates hold a bachelor’s in a related field, strong communication skills, and experience with research tools such as REDCap or Qualtrics.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in social science, public health, psychology or related field (Preferred).
• Experience conducting research interviews or collecting research data (preferred).
• Strong organizational skills and attention to detail.
• Excellent verbal and written communication.
• Proficiency with Microsoft Office, including Excel.
• Experience using REDCap, Qualtrics, or similar research platforms (preferred).
• Experience conducting literature review and summarizing research findings (preferred).
• Ability to maintain confidentiality and work with sensitive information.
• Ability to work effectively with individuals from diverse backgrounds.

Responsibilities

• Recruit, screen, and schedule research participants
• Conduct interviews and administer research surveys
• Coordinate project meetings and maintain study documentation
• Enter, review, and manage research surveys
• Enter, review, and manage research data
• Assist with literature reviews, reports, presentations, and manuscripts
• Support study operations and communication with internal and external partners
