Job summary

The University of Pittsburgh's Department of Family Medicine is seeking a Research Assistant (Professional) to support multi-site respiratory virus studies across Allegheny County. You will assist with participant recruitment, screening, consent, and data collection.

The RA will coordinate site visits, enter data into electronic databases, maintain study records, and communicate with clinical staff. Travel between sites in the Pittsburgh area is required.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED required; bachelor’s degree preferred.
• Must obtain PA Act 33/34 clearances and FBI background checks.
• Willingness to commute to multiple Pittsburgh sites and work up to 37.5 hours/week.

Responsibilities

• Recruit and enroll participants (children and adults) at multiple sites.
• Screen for eligibility and obtain informed consent.
• Collect specimens (nasal/throat swabs) for respiratory viruses.
• Complete surveys and manage participant payments.
• Maintain study records and enter data into electronic databases.
• Coordinate site visits and communicate with staff.
