The Research Coordinator role at Christie’s offers hands-on experience in the Post-War & Contemporary Art department, exposing you to the art world and auction industry. Responsibilities follow the sales calendar and support overall department activities.

How You'll Make An Impact
  • Research works for upcoming sales, including provenance, exhibition history, and literature checks.
  • Produce fact sheets for works.
  • Respond to internal inquiries regarding fact sheets and pricing.
  • Coordinate image editing and photography.
  • Write artwork essays.
  • Support proposal preparation processes.
  • Assist with gallery guide and price list creation.
  • Help install galleries for private sale views, including mounting lot cards and taking installation images.
  • Perform general department tasks as assigned.
What You’ll Bring To The Team
  • Passion for Post-War and Contemporary Art and the arts in general.
  • Well-organized with the ability to work calmly under pressure.
  • Strong attention to detail and follow-up skills.
  • Confident and articulate communication skills.
  • Additional language skills are desirable but not mandatory.
  • Completed undergraduate or postgraduate degree; able to work full-time.
