The Department of Population Health and Pathobiology aims to recruit, train, inspire, and graduate Doctors of Veterinary Medicine with exemplary knowledge, skill, and character. The department’s faculty advances veterinary medical science through innovative research, mentoring, and clinical services.
RABapp is a web-based system designed to assist livestock and poultry producers in developing biosecurity plans, tracking disease transmission, and improving emergency preparedness for foreign animal disease (FAD) outbreaks. It operates as a consortium of academic researchers, industry veterinarians, and state animal health officials.
The Machado Laboratory, led by Associate Professor Dr. Machado, specializes in infectious disease transmission models and food animal production epidemiology. Current projects address major livestock diseases.
The individual in this position will coordinate the daily operations of RABapp, ensuring smooth program execution and effective collaboration with industry and research partners. Responsibilities include:
Minimum Education and Experience: Relevant post-Baccalaureate degree or Bachelor's degree with 3+ years of independent research experience.
Valid NC Driver's License required.
