Job summary

The Ikegami Lab at Cincinnati Children’s is seeking a Research Assistant to support investigations into cardiovascular and age-associated diseases, focusing on nuclear envelope biology and gene regulation. You will work on functional genomics, microscopy, stem cell differentiation, and model systems to understand disease mechanisms.

Responsibilities include performing experiments, recording data, and assisting in training staff.

Qualifications

• RAII requires high school diploma or equivalent and 2 years of related work experience.
• RAIII requires a Bachelor's degree in a related field and 1 year of related experience or a Master's degree.

Responsibilities

• Perform experiments and record data - follow established research protocols; maintain accurate records and analyze data.
• Design and execute daily laboratory experiments in coordination with senior personnel; assist in training junior staff.
• Serve as a resource to the department; communicate findings and contribute to reports and publications.
• Lab administration - troubleshoot equipment, maintain inventory, and ensure lab safety and cleanliness.
• Customer service - maintain strong working relationships with team members and stakeholders.
