Job summary

LRES Corporation is looking for a Research Assistant II to perform studies related to pancreatic cancer metabolism and assist with lab organization and training. Candidates should have a Bachelor's degree and 1–2 years of related experience.

The ideal applicant will be able to analyze data and communicate effectively, working in a team-oriented environment. This is a full-time, in-person role based in Maywood, Illinois.

Qualifications

Duties and Responsibilities

• Performs studies related to pancreatic cancer metabolism under the direct supervision of Principal Investigator.
• Analyzes and interprets data from experiments.
• Maintains overall lab organization including ordering supplies, monitoring equipment, and compliance with safety regulations.
• Train students and other staff in research protocols and lab rules.
• Attends monthly journal clubs and lab meetings.
• Presents research results at national and local meetings.
• Performs related duties as assigned.

Minimum Education and Work Experience

Minimum Education

• Required: Bachelor’s Degree
• Preferred: Master’s Degree – Biological or Physical Sciences

Minimum Experience

• Required: 1–2 years of job‑related experience
• Preferred: 3–5 years of job‑related experience
