Boston Children's Hospital is seeking a highly motivated Research Assistant to join our Department of Cardiology. The ideal candidate will assist in developing novel therapies for inherited heart disease, focusing on stem cell research and innovative laboratory techniques.
Responsibilities include cell culturing and genome editing, with an emphasis on accurate record-keeping and data analysis. A Bachelor's degree in a related field and at least 12 months of lab experience are required. Excellent interpersonal skills are essential for the collaborative environment.
RA I plus; Troubleshoots procedures if experimental results are unexpected or quality of specimens is poor. May suggest alternative routine procedures to crosscheck own findings. Performs techniques typically required for the laboratory/study. RA I plus. Assists with planning specific research procedures, coordinating schedules of experiments and procedures. Develops and troubleshoots new techniques specific to the lab. RA I plus. Maintains accurate records of results and methodologies into a log of work performed. Compiles and helps analyze data, preparing charts, graphs, and results of studies. RA I plus. Demonstrates basic laboratory techniques to laboratory assistants and technicians, research fellows, residents and students. Contributes to the team within and between departments and organizations.

We are seeking a highly motivated and independent individual as a research assistant to join our basic and translational research group in the Department of Cardiology at Boston Children's Hospital. The research assistant will be a member of a team that is developing novel therapies for inherited heart disease.
The Pu lab is a multi-disciplinary lab that studies heart development and disease using advanced molecular and cellular approaches in animal models and human stem cells. Lab members are exposed to a diverse array of techniques and research ranging from fundamental, mechanistic studies of gene regulation to translational development of novel therapies.
The posted pay range is Boston Children's reasonable and good‑faith expectation for this pay at the time of posting.
