Job summary

UTHealth Houston's Department of Psychiatry and Behavioral Sciences seeks a Research Assistant to support an FDA/IRB-approved psychedelic trial and manage the laboratory's data and reviews. The role includes assisting the PI and collaborating with the lab's leadership on analyses and manuscript preparation.

The candidate will engage in data analysis, manuscript writing, and potentially psychological autopsies, leveraging SPSS, Qualtrics/QuestionPro, and RedCAP as core tools.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's Degree required; may substitute years of experience for education.
• Experience with research (student researcher/volunteer) and psychosocial interviews (e.g., SCID, YMRS, MADRS) preferred.
• Familiarity with clinical research designs is strongly preferred.

Responsibilities

• Assist PI with FDA/IRB-approved open-label psychedelic trial.
• Lead platform of systematic reviews around psychedelics.
• Analyze data, write manuscripts, and conduct psychological autopsies as needed.
